While emergency crews and rescue teams work hard to help those in need, if you would like to extend your support to those directly impacted by the storm, we encourage you to make a donation today:
Dear AHLA Members,
As tropical storm Harvey lashes across Texas, leading to unprecedented flooding and damage, our thoughts and prayers are very much with those who are affected by this horrific storm. As hoteliers, so many of you are on the front lines helping your communities and opening your doors to local residents and visitors alike. We also understand that many of your hotels are relaxing policies to accommodate those who find themselves in the storm’s path, from aiding special needs groups to families and individuals in need. We commend all your efforts in meeting many of these challenges head on and remaining strong community partners during this difficult time.
We also express our gratitude to the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association team, who has been tirelessly coordinating with the Governor’s office, local government, FEMA, and emergency personnel, responding to issues that arise during this time of emergency. They have been releasing regular, timely updates and will continue to be a valuable resource in the coming days and weeks. Visit THLA’s website for the latest information on the homepage.
While emergency crews and rescue teams work hard to help those in need, if you would like to extend your support to those directly impacted by the storm, we encourage you to donate to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, which was established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and is being administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Information can be found here.
You can also donate to the Red Cross here.
Please know that you have our appreciation and support.
